About Me

| I'm Danielle! |

I started the "Cheap. Chic. Repeat." blog for a number of reasons:

I have a knack for creativity, and when it comes to my career I want to keep utilizing it.  I graduated from Penn State with a B.A. in Communications and absolutely love the field.  Whether I stay in broadcast or delve into event planning or public relations, keeping the creative juices flowing is crucial. Having a blog means marketing and promoting something I believe in and creating engaging content to keep an audience interested - in this case, my everyday wardrobe and personality.  It's been said countless times that we are our own worst critics.  If I can beat my own expectations and market my blog successfully, well I think that's some pretty great business experience right there.

I LOVE CLOTHES. I am seriously one of those people that gets instant gratification from shopping, especially when it's for a $120 Tahari blazer I scored for $20.  Okay, so awesome buys like that don't always happen, but that won't stop me from looking.  On top of loving good deals, my favorite part is obviously to mix and match my wardrobe to my mood for the day.  I love the fact that I have worn my white "leather" moto jacket as part of a Madonna-meets-Joan Jett costume and weeks before wore it over a soft, feminine maxi-dress.  Fashion. Is. Awesome.

And I understand what it's like to never, ever feel good in the clothes you're wearing.  Even looking at them hanging in your closet just sucks when you know you're not going to like what they look like in the mirror.  After I lost a significant amount of weight throughout college, I finally felt like myself and now LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new wardrobe.  I would love to reach out to people who are going through or have gone through something similar, because trust me, losing weight didn't come easy for me.  I still work every single day for it.

There is a lot more to why I decided to start this blog; I guess that's how I know I'm passionate about fashion!  For me, it isn't about keeping up with trends, buying designer brands, or even looking better than another person.

It's about feeling great about your looks, embracing your confidence, finding yourself.

Maybe for some of us that means strutting in our $20 pumps and $15 cocktail dress.

Cheap. Chic. Repeat.
