Behind the Name

Every blogger needs a name.
Every good blogger needs a name that represents exactly who they are.

I hesitated about who I wanted to be to the Internet.  It might not seem like it, but trying to convey exactly who you are to the entire world via the Internet is a challenging thing to do correctly.
Branding is everything, and I didn't want to choose a name that wouldn't represent exactly who I am.
The world knows millions of Danielle's, so what brand could accurately front all of my unique awesomeness?

(Just kidding.  It only fronts part of my unique awesomeness.)

Here's how Cheap. Chic. Repeat. represents exactly me:

- I knew it had to be catchy.
If you can't tell, sarcasm and wit come relatively naturally to me and I enjoy using them both to my advantage.  So of course, my online brand had to follow suit.
I'm a sucker for any original play-on-words.

-  I knew it had to be fashion.
I dabble in a lot of things: fitness, cooking, photography, binge-Netflixing... you know, normal people things.  But my skirt collection rivals my scarf collection which rivals my shoe collection, so it seemed like a no-contest decision.

- I knew it had to have meaning.
I don't always let on that I'm somewhat of a romantic person, I like to let everything roll off my shoulders, but I actually am a huge fan of "deeper meaning".  I know "Cheap. Chic. Repeat." isn't exactly the epitome of romanticism when it comes to meaningful blogging names (if that makes any sense), BUT this "never-ending fashion cycle" is actually
exactly who I am.

And I can explain that in just a few words...

| The Cycle |

I buy it Cheap, style it Chic, and then Repeat.

It's that simple.

My wardrobe has endless possibilities.

Let me inspire you.
